Selecting this button will open a separate panel

2D Features

For all classical 2D features (points, line, circle), it is required that a "parent" 3D feature be created prior to creation of the 2D feature. This 3D feature should be the feature that the 2D feature resides on. For example, in the image below, a Cylinder feature would need to be created in order to be the "parent" of the Circle feature.

When creating 2D features from existing geometry, make sure that independent edges and vertices are visible in the model view.

Modes

Point

Using this mode user can create Point feature. By selecting any feature on the 3D model user specifies the location of the point feature. The location of the point can also be specified through the settings. Created point feature will be stored in the model tree under Features folder.

Opposite Point

Using this mode, the user can create an Opposite Point feature. By selecting an existing point on the 3D model, the system generates a new point directly opposite to it, relative to a defined reference. The created opposite point feature will be stored in the model tree under the Features folder.

Line

Using this mode, the user can create a Line feature. By selecting two points on the 3D model, the system defines a straight line between them. The location and orientation of the line can also be specified through the settings. The created line feature will be stored in the model tree under the Features folder.

Circle

Using this mode, the user can create a Circle feature. By specifying a center point and a radius, or by selecting appropriate references on the 3D model, then the system generates circular geometry. The created circle feature will be stored in the model tree under the Features folder.

Constructed Circle

Using this mode, the user can create a Constructed Circle feature. The circle is defined using three selected points on the 3D model, which determine its position and size. The created constructed circle feature will be stored in the model tree under the Features folder.

Constructed Circle - Chord Length

Using this mode, the user can create a Constructed Circle feature defined by a chord length. By selecting two points to form the chord and specifying the circle’s radius or arc, the system generates the circle accordingly. The created constructed circle (chord length) feature will be stored in the model tree under the Features folder.

Connect

Using this mode, the user can create a Connect feature. By selecting two or more existing features (such as points or lines), the system generates a connecting geometry between them. The created connect feature will be stored in the model tree under the Features folder.
